Surprisingly, for the first time this year, we will be mostly quiet for our NFL week 5 games. The only area we will be monitoring is wind over Buffalo for the 1 PM game where the Buffalo Bills will host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Forecast Summary:
Areas of high pressure centered along the southern half of the country, and north over Canada, will provide clear weather for games this week. With a majority of the country dry, there is no rain risk anticipated for any of the week 5 matchups. The only area we are monitoring is potentially elevated winds over western New York for the Buffalo Bills game where winds are being forecasted 15-20 mph with 25-30 mph gusts.
Game Impacts:
We will continue to monitor winds around Buffalo, but there are no weather related game impacts being forecasted at this time. Even if winds do become elevated, Josh Allen typically plays well in marginal wind conditions, so receiving options should not be impacted. We expect the entire Buffalo offense to thrive as Pittsburg ranks as a bottom tier defense allowing 131 rushing yards and 250 passing yards per game.
